Bob Layton graduated from Paul Smiths College, NY with an A.A.S. degree in Forest Recreation in 1988. He became a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture in June of 2002. He has completed the wetlands evaluation course series at Everett Community College, as well as attended numerous seminars covering forest management issues to hazard tree evaluation.

Mr. Layton has over 16 years experience as a field forester performing a variety of timber inventory services including timber stand examination, continuous forest inventories and regeneration surveys. He is proficient in export-domestic grade cruising in accordance with the Puget Sound Log Scaling and Grading Bureau.

He has over 8 years experience in aerial photo interpretation and map compilation. Software skills include: AutoCAD, Stand Inventory Systems and SuperAce Timber Cruising. He has provided aerial photo interpretation on over one million acres of forestland.

He is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture and the Washington Farm Forestry Association. Some of his projects include: Tree Inventory and Assessment for the Town of Steilacoom and City of Lakewood, Tree Inspection and Protection Plan for the Highpoint Redevelopment Construction project, Seattle, WA, Forest Type Mapping projects for the Weyerhaeuser Company, Eatonville, WA and Stimson Timber Company, Newport, WA, and timber inventory projects for Citifor, Inc., Seattle, WA and Crown Pacific, Hamilton, WA.
